Financial Analyst (Prophix) – $50-80,000 – Massachusetts

 

In a superb growth phase, this client are looking to add a Financial Analyst to their expanding FP&A team as they embark on a really exciting period of their growth.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in monthly financial closing, to include preparation of general ledger account reconciliations and analysis of financial results to identify and explain variances
  • Analyze financial results to identify and explain trends in order to provide critical insights to managers, and identify opportunities for improvements and savings
  • Act as the owner for financial reporting and analysis systems, including Prophix
  • Establish and monitor annual budgets and long-term financial plan
  • Partner with managers to establish KPI’s and provide ad-hoc reports and analyses
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports for external stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Key requirements;

  • Analytical focus to be able to identify trends, discover causes of variances, and identify improvement opportunities
  • Sophisticated skills with standard office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint); experience with Prophix and Crystal Reports is a plus
  • Proactive nature, with a sense of urgency to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop solid working relationships across the organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and effective presentation capabilities
  • BS in Accounting or Finance required
  • 3-5 years of FP&A experience in a large, multi-divisional organization, is required
