Senior Financial Analyst – $80-90,000 – US Remote

 

A large construction company in a continued growth pattern are are looking to add an experienced Financial Analyst as they embark on an exciting period of growth and development.

As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will support the organization by establishing the FP&A function. This includes short-term cash planning, short and long-term financial plans, and analysis of historical financial results in order to identify and explain trends and variances.

This client leverage Prophix as their financial analysis tool, so whilst Prophix experience is a huge plus, experience in any EPM software (Hyperion, Vena, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, TM1, etc.) or advanced Excel skills are desirable. You must be committed to commuting into their office just north of Springfield, MA, with this position onsite for the onboarding period before moving to a flexible hybrid role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monthly financial closing, to include preparation of general ledger account reconciliations and analysis of financial results to identify and explain variances
  • Analyze financial results to identify and explain trends in order to provide critical insights to managers, and identify opportunities for improvements and savings
  • Act as the owner for financial reporting and analysis systems
  • Manage legal contracts database and review for accounting requirements
  • Prepare short-term cash forecasts
  • Establish and monitor annual budgets and long-term financial plans
  • Partner with managers to establish and justify capital expenditure plans and monitor actual expenditures
  • Partner with managers to establish KPI’s and provide ad-hoc reports and analyses
  • Participate in some aspects of the Treasury function to ensure compliance
  • Provide internal audit capabilities
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports for external stakeholders
  • Participate in planning and due diligence for acquisitions.

Qualifications

  • BS in Accounting or Finance required
  • 3+ years of experience working in finance & financial analysis
  • Experience creating financial models using Microsoft Excel or similar tools
  • Ability to understand and effectively translate numbers, and financial data, clearly and concisely to various stakeholders, at all levels
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and maintaining confidentiality, a must
  • EPM or CPM software experience essential (Hyperion, Vena, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, TM1, etc.), Prophix a plus
  • M&A experience a plus
  • Must be a US Citizen.
